Insiten’s Huiqi Zhou Nominated for 2019 Timmy Award

Huiqi Zhou is Insiten’s architect extraordinaire, a one-of-a-kind developer who has helped drive our success since she joined the team. That’s why we’re so excited to announce that Huiqi is one of five nominees for the 2019 Timmy Award for Atlanta’s Best Tech Manager!

Sponsored by Tech In Motion, the Timmy Awards celebrate the best tech companies, cultures and managers in 11 major tech hubs across the United States. Previous winners and finalists include Salesforce, LinkedIn, Facebook, Venmo, and Adobe: fitting company for someone as talented as Huiqi.

There are a number of reasons why we nominated Huiqi for this award, but what really sealed the deal is her tireless commitment to learning and development – not just for herself, but for everyone at Insiten. Huiqi leads our biweekly lunch-and-learns, creating a structured environment in which team members can learn about a variety of different topics. Huiqi’s consistent on-the-job mentorship and willingness to support other developers has helped the team complete some challenging tasks, while simultaneously fostering the development of new skills that will serve the team well on future projects.

With her dedication to learning and mentorship, her passion for her work, and her unparalleled technical expertise, Huiqi embodies all the qualities we look for in a tech manager. We’re immensely proud – and fortunate – to work with her, and her selection as a finalist for Best Technical Manager is a testament to the impact she’s had at Insiten. We can’t think of anyone more deserving of this award, and we wish Huiqi the best of luck in the finals!
